New regulations regarding video surveillance systems

By the Resolution #101 of the Government of Georgia dated March 2, 2022, the list of organizations obliged to install a video surveillance system in their premises starting from January 1, 2024, is expanded.
🟧 This obligation applies to all persons if:
👉 Their income during any previous continuous 12 calendar months exceeds 500,000 (five hundred thousand) GEL and they belong to the following types of economic activities:
⏺ Wholesale trade;
⏺ Retail trade;
⏺ Provision of accommodation (including hotels and motels);
⏺ Food and beverage service activities (including restaurants, bars, etc.).
👉 The following facilities, regardless of income:
⏺ Stationary medical institution;
⏺ Cigar bar;
⏺ Market/bazaar;
⏺ Shopping mall.
⏺ Casino, gambling club, slot machine parlor, totalizator, lotto and bingo;
⏺ Gas, natural gas or compressed natural gas filling stations;
⏺ Pharmacy;
⏺ Microfinance organization;
⏺ Currency exchange point;
⏺ Loan provider;
⏺ General educational institution;
⏺ Higher and vocational educational institution/college;
👉 The video surveillance system must meet the following technical specifications:
⏹ Video camera: Network (IP);
⏹ Camera resolution: At least 3 megapixels (2048X1536 QXGA);
⏹ Sensitivity: 0 lux with active illumination (0.1 without active illumination);
⏹ Coverage area: It should be possible to visually see the area within a 20-meter radius of the main and emergency entrances of the building;
⏹ Recording resolution: At least 3 megapixels (2048X1536 QXGA), at least 5 frames per second. Recordings made in day and night mode should allow for accurate identification of a person (object);
⏹ Certificate: The equipment must have an ISO certificate.
