HD cameras — analogue cameras in the HDCVI, AHD and TVI standards that run over coaxial cable. ITGS carries 67 models from Dahua, HiLook and Hikvision, priced from 43₾ to 1120₾. This is the most economical way to equip a surveillance system, especially where coaxial cable is already installed.
When an HD camera is the right choice
- Coaxial cable is already in place and you want to replace old cameras without re-cabling;
- The budget is tight — cameras start from 43₾;
- No network configuration is needed — the camera connects straight to the XVR;
- Medium and long runs (up to 500 metres) without extra equipment.
HDCVI, AHD or TVI — the difference
| Standard | Who developed it | Characteristics |
|---|---|---|
| HDCVI | Dahua | The most widespread in Georgia; supports audio and PoC |
| TVI | Hikvision / HiLook | Stable, with a widely available ecosystem |
| AHD | Universal | Cheap, with fewer features |
Modern XVR recorders are multi-format — they support HDCVI, AHD, TVI and IP cameras at the same time.
What else you will need
- An XVR / DVR recorder — 4, 8 or 16 channels;
- A hard drive — a surveillance-series drive (Purple/SkyHawk) for 24/7 recording;
- Coaxial cable (RG59+2C) and a power supply;
- A UPS — so recording continues during a power cut.

How much does an HD camera cost?
At ITGS HD (HDCVI/AHD/TVI) cameras start from 43₾ and reach 1120₾. Basic 2MP models are 50₾–90₾, and 5MP ColorVu models start from 170₾.
Should I choose HD or IP?
If coaxial cable is already installed, an HD camera is the cheaper and faster solution. On a new site where you need face or plate recognition, IP is the better choice.
Will it work with my old cable?
Yes. An HD camera uses the existing coaxial cable — no wall damage and no re-cabling. You only replace the cameras and the XVR.
Over what distance does an HD camera work?
HDCVI and TVI run reliably up to 500 metres over quality coaxial cable without a repeater. An IP camera over UTP is limited to 100 metres.
Which recorder do I need?
HD cameras need an XVR or DVR. Modern XVR models record HD and IP cameras at the same time, which makes merging systems easier later.
