Frequently Asked Questions

How much does network cable cost?
At ITGS network cables cost between 1.5₾ and 976₾. Patch cords are 1.5₾–25₾, while 305-metre boxes (Cat5e/Cat6) run 270₾–980₾.
Which cable for IP cameras?
For standard IP cameras Cat5e is enough up to 100 metres. If the cable runs outdoors, always choose an outdoor-rated, UV-resistant type.
UTP or FTP?
UTP is unshielded and is fine in a normal office. FTP/STP is shielded and is needed wherever the cable runs close to mains wiring or heavy power cables.
