What to pay attention to
- Cost per page. A laser page is often 3–5 times cheaper than an inkjet one.
- Cartridge availability. Check that cartridges are available locally.
- Network and Wi-Fi. A networked printer can be shared by the whole office.
- Duplex printing. Halves your paper costs.

How much does an office printer cost?

Laser or inkjet?
For an office a laser is almost always better: the cost per page is lower, the cartridge does not dry out and printing is faster. Inkjet only wins for photos and graphics.
How many pages does a cartridge print?
A standard toner is rated for 1500–3000 pages, a high-yield one for 6000–10,000. Work out the cost per page rather than looking only at the printer's price.
Does it support network printing?
Every MFP model has an Ethernet port and many have Wi-Fi, so one printer can serve the whole office. ITGS handles the configuration.
