DVR video recorders — recorders for analogue HD cameras that run over coaxial cable. ITGS carries 22 models from Dahua, Hikvision and HiLook, from 4 to 16 channels. Prices from 155₾ to 1446₾.

DVR or XVR — what is the difference

A DVR records analogue cameras only. An XVR is hybrid — it supports HDCVI, AHD, TVI and IP cameras at the same time. If you plan to add IP cameras later, choose an XVR.

What to consider

• Resolution. The recorder must support your cameras' resolution — a 5MP camera needs a 5MP-capable DVR;
• Drive. Many models take a single drive (up to 8TB);
• Audio. If you need sound recording, pick a model with an audio input (e.g. DS-H204QA);
• Mobile access. Current models work with the DMSS or Hik-Connect app.

What else you will need

• HD cameras (HDCVI, AHD, TVI);
• Hard drives — surveillance series;
• All recorders — NVR, XVR, DVR;
• A UPS — so recording continues during a power cut.
